LME 49810 is the latest flagship power amplifier chip from National Semiconductor in the United States.

Since the ordinary IC power amplifier is a single integrated circuit chip, that is to say, the input stage, amplifying stage, and output stage of the audio amplifier are all on the same chip. The power output stage will generate a relatively large amount of heat, and this heat will be fed back to the small signal input stage in the same chip and the signal amplifier stage. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, NS National Semiconductor introduced LME 49810 and LM49830 series power amplifier ICs in its later products.

49810 is a design that separates the small signal amplifier stage from the current output stage, which greatly improves the performance of the power amplifier, and greatly improves the power, output voltage range, dynamic range, and maximum output current and power of the integrated IC power amplifier. It is a multiplied growth of several loads.

THD distortion has been reduced by several tens of times, which can basically be compared with a well-designed high-end discrete power amplifier. It even surpasses many mid-range discrete power amplifier designs.

LJM himself designed this power amplifier around 2006 when the LME49810 first appeared on the market. Since the price of this IC has always been relatively high, relatively speaking, it does not have much advantage over the discrete power amplifiers of the L series, so it has not been launched.
