Recently, some comments have linked this power supply to a switching power supply. What is a switching power supply? Your mobile phone charger is a switching power supply, and the Philips table lamp power supply is also a switching power supply. No matter how good a switching power supply is, its peak-to-peak ripple is about 100 millivolts mv, but the linear power supply can easily be controlled below 10 millivolts. For a qualified Walkman, radio, decoder, headphone amplifier or preamplifier, the power ripple below 10 millivolts is low enough, so low that the most sensitive headphones or speakers can't hear it. If using our power supply (with ripple peak-to-peak value within 2 millivolts) still cannot solve the noise problem, please look for factors other than the power supply.
