Module description
The AD8362 is a true root-mean-square response power detector with a measuring
range of 65dB, which is mainly used in various high-frequency communication
systems and instruments requiring accurate response to signal power. The
fluctuating output can be filtered and compared to the output of an identical square
whose input is a fixed DC voltage applied to the VTGT pin, usually a precise
reference voltage of 1.25V provided on the VREF pin.
When used as a power measurement device, the VOUT is bonded to the VSET. In
this way, the output is proportional to the logarithm of the root-mean-square value
of the input. In other words, the readings will be displayed directly in dB and can be
easily adjusted at a ratio of 1V or 50mV/dB per 10x. Other slopes are also easy to
achieve. When logical high voltage is applied to the PWDN pin, the AD8362 enters
power saving mode with a power consumption of 1.3mW. At 25° C, it can be
powered up to a nominal operating current of 20mA in about 20us
