AS7331 is a low-power, low-noise integrated ultraviolet sensor. Three independent UVA, UVB, and UVC channels convert optical radiation signals into digital results through ultraviolet optimized photodiodes, and achieve continuous or triggered measurements. The irradiance responsiveness can be adjusted through gain, inter conversion, and internal clock frequency to affect sensitivity, full-scale range, and LSB. AS7331 will provide the detected radiation amount as a digital count in the set gain and conversion time configuration. AS7331 provides a range of 12 gain steps, with each step being 2 times. The conversion time is internally controlled within a wide range of 15 steps, with each step being twice as long. By using the input pin (SYN), the conversion time can be controlled externally to adapt the measurement to the given environment and time reference. With its irradiance responsivity factor and conversion time, AS7331 supports an overall large dynamic range of up to 3.43E+10 (resolution multiplied by gain range).
